Arielle Alvarez

Based in Los Angeles

-

Arielle has been creating videos and short films since she got her first camera at the age of 13. Her love for film grew and gave way to aspirations to become a film director once she began acting in school plays and community theater. In the fall of 2011 she traveled to London, UK to begin her studies in film. Shortly after she graduated with her BA Film degree she was a TV Production teacher at Forest Park High School in Woodbridge, Virginia. Afterwards, she traveled back to London to study theater more intensely. During her theater studies she learned and gained skills in projection mapping which integrated her passion for film into the theater world. Before she graduated with her MA in Theatre Arts she performed her one-woman show, I Don't Speak Spanish, which she wrote, directed, acted, and designed the projection mapping art used for the scenography in the show.

Currently, she has a short film in post-production called, Nail, which is the sister piece to Biscuit. Arielle recently began freelance work as a videographer and photographer for the Mirror UK to cover various red carpet events around Los Angeles. She is also rewriting I Don't Speak Spanish for an American audience and bring the show up to date with her commentary on current events. She plans to bring her show to the Hollywood Fringe Fest 2026.
